This is my capital, Brasilia.
Hello, I am a father, my name is: Pitter Leaker. I went transfer with parish to Brasilia in nineteen ninety-eight, during the government of the president Cardoso, in the middle of a depression economical.
When I reached Brasilia put me in the Cathedral. In this please the work is very heavy for so much people that come. The reason for which this cathedral parish is so visited, is because it`s worldly acquaintance, because Brasilia is Brazil's capital and because it is at the Plaza of the Three Powers, that is the principal square. I`ll tell you the history of Brasilia so that you best understand.
Began every in seventeen eighty-nine when proved the idea of move the capital to an interior area. Then, by the year nineteen fifty-seven, during the presidency of Juscelino Kubitschek, started the construction of the city in a please semidesert at the center of Brazil. It is a plateau at an altitude of about 1005 m, and enjoys a mild and dry weather. Brasilia was designed by Brazilian architect Lucio Costa.
At present, we see the results of the building that quickly finished on (the 21st) twenty-first (of) April in nineteen sixty. This is a big, modern, beautiful, happy city.
Proudly, I can say: ¡This is my capital, Brasilia, I love you!
In my city, Brasilia, is where concentrate government agencies in country because the objective of decongest the overcrowded Rio de Janeiro. Before, Rio was the capital of Brazil, now Brasilia is the Brazil`s capital.
My city has got the form of a plane and over this form is the construction of edifices, embassies, the plaza of the three powers, the sunrise palace, that is, the residence of the president, also the Brasilia’s stadium and my cathedral, a circular building largely underground, designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer.
The artificial lake formed by the barrier of the Paraná River, is in the borders of the city.
We are connected to the rest of the country for an extensive network of highways and with the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro by the rail.
But the future is uncertain.
In the year two thousand seventy, I know, for my gift of prophecy, that Brasilia will be a parch please. Also I know that the people in Brasilia city will convert in crazies for cause of the scarcity of water. Although paradoxically, in the year ten thousand will much water, only that will be icy water, that is, will happen a new ice age.
